Northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive en-route from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. As we head north, good sightings of giraffe, plain game, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen.
The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Wagakuria area from End July to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacle. Witnessing the frantic herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River is amazing.

The Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. With more than two million wildebeests, half a million Thomson's gazelles, and a quarter million zebras, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest
and zebra moreover form the star cast of a unique spectacular - the annual Serengeti migration. The name
'Serengeti' comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an 'extended place'.
The National Park, with an area of 12,950 square kilometres, is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara
Game.reserve (in Kenya), is roughly the size of Kuwait. It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth.

The Ngorongoro crater is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 210 km west of Arusha. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world' the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. It offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes
and forests of ‘the land that time forgot', dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions.
