You’ll start the Day with a short drive to Arusha National Park, this will take about 30 minutes (from Arusha). From here we’ll start driving trough the beautiful green surroundings of Arusha National Park to spot some local wildlife. All this with a stunning view of Mt. Meru on the background.
After, your local safari ranger will take you on a walking safari. The walking safari gives you a whole new and unique perspective of the national park and it’s super exciting! The scents and sounds of the African bush are best experience by foot. Here you’ll be walking alongside wild, freely roaming animals in their natural habitat. Your ranger is experienced and knows what you can or can’t to near wild animals. Listen to him, and you will have the best possible experience. Apart from sharing loads of knowledge about the animals you might encounter, your guide will also tell you all about the unique flora & fauna of Arusha National Park.
During the walking safari some unique sights will be visited, like the impressive waterfall that hides in the heart of the park, the Ngurdoto Crater and lake Momella, where thousands of pink flamingos can be often be spotted.
What to see on the walking safari:
Many visitors come here hoping to spot the elusive colubus monkey. Giraffes majestically walk through the landscape and other animals like buffalo, zebra’s, warthog, and blue monkeys are waiting to be spottet. This day-trip is also great for bird-spotters, as Arusha has a great variety of birds like trogons, starlings, turacos and thousands of migrating flamingos

With more than two million wildebeests, half a million Thomson's gazelles, and a quarter million zebras, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest and zebra moreover form the star cast of a unique spectacular - the annual Serengeti migration. The name 'Serengeti' comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an 'extended place'. The National Park, with an area of 12,950 square kilometers, is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game.reserve (in Kenya), is roughly the size of Kuwait. It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth.

The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Wagakuria area from End July to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacle. The area around Lobo and the Grumeti River has good resident game throughout the year. Non-migrating game like elephant, buffalo, gazelle, zebra, lion, leopard and cheetah can be seen here all year round. The game viewing is very good and you can follow game for long periods without seeing other vehicles – truly one of the forgotten corners of the Serengeti Plains. Magnificent riverine trees can be found along the river lines and bird life such as kingfishers and fish eagles can be found here.
