Travel Itinerary
DAY 1: KILIMANJARO - ARUSHA (-/-/D)
  • Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport, transfer to hotel not far from Arusha National park.

  • Overnight in Arusha.
DAY 2: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, one of the most preferred spots for walking safari.

Logistic Info approx.: 20min commuting + 4hr Walking safari + 3hrs Game Drive + 20min commuting

 You’ll start the Day with a short drive to Arusha National Park, this will take about 30 minutes (from Arusha). From here we’ll start driving trough the beautiful green surroundings of Arusha National Park to spot some local wildlife. All this with a stunning view of Mt. Meru on the background.

 After, your local safari ranger will take you on a walking safari. The walking safari gives you a whole new and unique perspective of the national park and it’s super exciting! The scents and sounds of the African bush are best experience by foot. Here you’ll be walking alongside wild, freely roaming animals in their natural habitat. Your ranger is experienced and knows what you can or can’t to near wild animals. Listen to him, and you will have the best possible experience. Apart from sharing loads of knowledge about the animals you might encounter, your guide will also tell you all about the unique flora & fauna of Arusha National Park.

During the walking safari some unique sights will be visited, like the impressive waterfall that hides in the heart of the park, the Ngurdoto Crater and lake Momella, where thousands of pink flamingos can be often be spotted.

What to see on the walking safari:

 Many visitors come here hoping to spot the elusive colubus monkey. Giraffes majestically walk through the landscape and other animals like buffalo, zebra’s, warthog, and blue monkeys are waiting to be spottet. This day-trip is also great for bird-spotters, as Arusha has a great variety of birds like trogons, starlings, turacos and thousands of migrating flamingos

DAY 3: HORSE BACK SAFARI AT WILDLIFE ESTATE - KARATU (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast experience horseback back safari within Kili Golf & Wildlife Estate.

 Logisitic Info approx: 1 hrs commuting and 2hrs horseback riding.

 Kilo Bravo, Kaskazi's horse base is on Dolly Wildlife Estate, in USA River /Maji Ya Chai, only 45minutes drive from Arusha Town. The ride takes place on the Wildlife Estate and whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced rider, there is an opportunity and experience for everyone. Those with little riding experience can enjoy a gentle hack along dusty tracks where wildebeest and antelopes graze contentedly. Led by experienced guides, one can explore the  meandering paths, spotting a rich array of wildlife like zebras, wildebeests, eland and other gazelles and antelopes along your way. Regularly seen on the horse ride is one of the most elegant and rarest mammals found in Tanzania, the Gerenuk.

  •  After lunch transfer to Hotel in Karatu outside Ngorongoro.
  • Overnight in Karatu Outside Ngorongoro.
DAY 4: KARATU - NGORONGORO – SERENGETI (B/L/D)
  • After breakfast, transfer to Serengeti with game drive in Ngorongoro crater.

The Ngorongoro crater is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 210 km west of Arusha. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world' the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. It offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the

 Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes and forests of ‘the land that time forgot', dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions.

  • Overnight in Central Serengeti.
DAY 5: SERENGETI (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, make a full day Game drive at the Serengeti.

The Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. With more than two million wildebeests, half a million Thomson's gazelles, and a quarter million zebras, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest and zebra moreover form the star cast of a unique spectacular - the annual Serengeti migration. The name 'Serengeti' comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an 'extended place'. The National Park, with an area of 12,950 square kilometers, is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game.reserve (in Kenya), is roughly the size of Kuwait. It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth.

DAY 6: SERENGETI - IKOMA (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, make a full day Game to explore Centeral Serengeti.

  • Overnight in Ikoma Outside Serengeti.
DAY 7: SERENGETI NOTRH (B/L/D)
  • With packed breakfast & Lunch,experience migration chance at Great Mara River.

  • After breakfast search the migration mid or tail that is making its way to North of Serengeti.

 The area around Lobo and the Grumeti River has good resident game throughout the year. Non-migrating game like elephant, buffalo, gazelle, zebra, lion, leopard and cheetah can be seen here all year round. The game viewing is very good and you can follow game for long periods without seeing other vehicles – truly one of the forgotten corners of the Serengeti Plains. Magnificent riverine trees can be found along the river lines and bird life such as kingfishers and fish eagles can be found here.

  •  Overnight in Ikoma Outside Serengeti.
DAY 10: SERENGETI - KARATU (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, Transfer to Ngorongoro with en route game drive in Serengeti.

DAY 11: KARATU - KILIMANJARO (B/L/-)
  • After Breakfast, transfer Kilimanjaro airport for your flight.
