Travel Itinerary
DAY 1: ARUSHA - MANYARA - KARATU (-/L/D)
  • Transfer to Lake Manyara National park for Game Drive.

Lake Manyara National Park offers a wilderness experience rich in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to its dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the forested valley slopes. , although in abundance, are hard to get a glimpse of, just like the other elusive carnivores - the lions - of this park

DAY 2: KARATU - NGORONGORO (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro crater for full day game drive.

DAY 5: SERENGETI - (B/L/D) - WITH OPTION OF BALLOON SAFARI (OPTIONAL)
  • 05H00 picked up from your Lodge and drive to the balloon launch site for your Balloon Flight
  • On landing enjoy a champagne celebration (non-alcoholic) then drive to the bush breakfast location.
  • After breakfast, enjoy game viewing en-route to your lodge arriving in time for late lunch. Afternoon game drive returning to the lodge by dusk.

DAY 8: TARANGIRE TO SERENGETI (B/L/D)
  • After breakfast, drive to Tarangire from Serengeti.

DAY 9: TARANGIRE (B/L/D)
  • After Breakfast, Go for full day game drive in Tarangire.

At 2,600km², Tarangire is far from being the biggest of the Tanzanian parks, but its unrivaled landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of baobabs, is unforgettable. About 120kms south of Arusha, Tarangire is known for its very big herds of buffalo & Elephants. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. The game numbers are staggering: 30,000 zebra, 25,000 wildebeest, 5,000 buffalo, 3,000 elephant, 2,500 Masai giraffe and over 1,000 fringe-eared Oryx (gemsbok). Birders will want to look out for the endemic ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird.

DAY 10: TARANGIRE - KILIMANJARO AIRPORT (B/L/_)
  • After breakfast, Transfer back to Kilimanjaro airport
